A new insurance deal that aims to give home-based businesses cover that is more precisely tailored to meet their needs has been launched in the UK.
Direct Line is convinced that its latest offering will give entrepreneurs around the country good value for money and an effective way of protecting their businesses against unforeseen problems.
Many small firms in the UK turn to invoice discounting and debtor finance to fund their activities and the insurance deal offers to protect companies against public and product liability claims.
Explaining some of the reasons behind the launch of the new insurance range, Kate Syred from Direct Line commented: "Many people are unaware of their liability to their clients for the products and services they provide or the impact if the business is interrupted due to an incident in the home."
Research released last week by Lloyds TSB indicated that optimism has been improving among small businesses in Scotland over the course of recent weeks.
