Invoice discounting business targets UK expansion

An invoice discounting business has revealed its plans for expansion in the Reading and Thames Valley area.

Venture Finance is looking to help meet the debtor finance demands of organisations in the region and has established a new office base in Reading to this end.

Bosses at the company have suggested that south-east of England offers the potential for considerable growth given the number of small and medium-sized business that operate from the region.

Factoring and invoice discounting account for the bulk of Venture Finance's business and the on an annual basis the firm deals with close to £3.5 billion worth of client invoices, Creditman reports.

Newly-appointed business development manger for the company Jamie Repton said: "I am looking forward to helping Venture develop its customer base in the Thames Valley area, well-known for being home to some of the UK's leading organisations and having an influential and well-established business community."

Earlier this month, the Research Now organisation revealed that invoice discounting had enabled it to acquire the online data collection service OpenVenue.
