Small firms 'want new finance options'

Small businesses want access to new and innovative financing solutions such as invoice discounting, it has been claimed.

According to the US-based Interface Financial Group, there is a growing demand among newly-established companies in America to access cash-flow assistance in ways that suit their respective needs.

In fact, having experienced nothing but year-on-year growth over the past 35 years and just opened a number of new offices, bosses at Interface Financial are convinced that their invoice discounting solutions will continue to grow in popularity.

According to the group, there are close to one million businesses launched in the US on an annual basis and this presents an opportunity for providers of alternative finance solutions.

"This substantial growth rates in the small business population places an ever increasing demand on financial services such as the Interface invoice discounting program," a statement from the group explained.

Meanwhile, Alison Small, managing director of City Invoice Finance, told the Manchester Evening News recently that the appetite for factoring services is increasing across the UK.
